About

There are 47 acres of Barnsley’s Locke Park only a mile from Barnsley’s town centre, with gardens, wooded and open grass areas, an historic tower, a children’s play area, bowling greens and a cafe.

The Friends of Locke Park (FOLP) is a voluntary group: we are all interested in preserving the heritage of Locke Park and in improving the park and its facilities for the benefit of all that come here.

Members of the Friends get involved with fund raising, organising activities for children, young people and adults in Locke Park and undertaking voluntary work here.

The Friends meet on the first  Tuesday of each month, in the evening from 6 to 8 o’clock, at the Locke Park Cafe. If you are interested please join us.

Our main website which gives more information about Locke Park and its history is: www.friendsoflockepark.org.uk
